Types of Storytelling

Storytelling can be shared in many ways; through video, blogs, social media posts. Amazing stories can be authentic, heard on the news or shared from a friend. As long as the story is congruent with what you have to offer to your reader. They should represent your BRAND in the end.

Character StoryTelling

Here is an example of a BRAND story that generated a lot of emotion from people of all kinds. Take a look:

This amazing video has been watched by over 1.3 million viewers, and most likely you are one of them. My point here is, Budweiser Beer featured a puppy and Clydesdale horses to promote their product. No one cares about what ingredients are in the beer, why does it taste so good or why is it better in the aluminum bottle? People find entertainment with the actions of the horses, puppies and feel a warm emotion from this Brand.

This would be considered a character story tell and Budweiser touched the emotions of viewers to sell their product.

Character trumps content…

Story Lines

Story Lines refers to paying attention and listening for stories in our lives and inside communities that might be worth sharing.

There are many stories happening around us. All are worth something. But some are worth more to some audiences because of their relevancy or because they solve your audience’s problems.

Story lines are important because people can’t possibly share all stories that are happening around them. You want to share stories of success and inspiration. Awaken your readers emotions to warm their heart to call attention to your offer, your Brand!

Emotional storytelling is about creating a feel-good story and slotting your brand into that experience. All the same, all the successful brands know that to keep their customers loyal and their name secure, their primary concern is to appeal to their emotions – with emotional storytelling.

Could Emotional Storytelling the Future of Branding?

Human beings use association in their mindset. Show us a series of unrelated events, and we will still try to create a story out of them and connect them – even if the connection is entirely non-existent.

This is why putting a beautiful woman next to a car means people will buy more cars. Consciously they are not even aware that they have associated the two.

They may also deny it.

Nonetheless, the proximity of the two creates a connection. Buy this car and beautiful women will flock to you.

Brand storytelling does the same. It connects the brand to the positive emotions that people are feeling.

What Do You Think About Time Versus Money?

What are your thoughts about Time Versus Money? What is more important to you in your life?

Think back to your earliest memories, and you’ll probably remember your parents rushing off to work in the morning to trade their time for money. All our lives, we’re told to get an education, get a degree, get a job, and work for 35 years until retirement. We’re brainwashed into thinking that the only way to make more money is to “put in more hours.” This is false. Do You want to learn how to re-evaluate your time and make more money by working smarter (not harder)?

[bctt tweet=”Time Vs. Money, What is more important to YOU?” username=”sandsonlinevent”]

Our education system was developed over 100 years ago to train students to become dependable factory workers, who would show up on time, perform routine tasks, and not question their superiors. If you haven’t noticed, we’re in a new age (the Technology Age). With Technology on our side the possibilities of Time Versus Money is very different. time versus money

So let me elaborate a bit. As an employee for years, your mindset is to follow the leader, obey the company rules and perform tasks exactly as your employer has laid out. Trying (and failing) may lead to “learned helplessness.” You may begin to doubt yourself and assume nothing you do is going to work.

Once you’ve identified it, you can beat it. You can learn motivational techniques to stay positive when things don’t go right, and how to avoid negative, self-defeating cycles of thought.

Don’t get me wrong. It is not your fault. We all grew up with this employee mindset. That’s all we knew from the example of our parents, who learned it from their parents.

In this age of technology many opportunities are open to you to change this course of “Learned Helplessness”. By moving yourself from an employee mindset to a business owner mindset. So again,  what is more important to you, Time or Money. Becoming an online business owner, being your own boss, managing your own time and earning the money at the rate of pay you chose, is a life changer.

Right now, you’re at a crossroads.

You have two possible paths you can take.

If you take the path on the left (and ignore this), then chances are you will fail like the majority of small business owners.

Or … you can start down the most exhilarating and rewarding path of your life, a path that will give you personal and financial freedom.

The right path will take you on a journey up each rung of the business ladder, by taking a look at this opportunity.

This journey will not be easy, but it will be rewarding.

You will grow as a person, and you will generate enough income to live life by your own rules. You will build a strong business, scale it, and be set up financially for the rest of your life.

You must go into business KNOWING you’re going to succeed, and have that knowledge permeate everything you do (how you spend your time, how you make decisions, who you hang out with, etc.). If you don’t have this mindset, then you will be derailed at the first few inevitable challenges.
