Six Strategies for Gaining Instagram Followers

Instagram

As Instagram continues its meteoric rise in both monthly user base and saturation metrics, it makes sense for businesses to get on board. Statistics show that engagement rate on Instagram is much higher than either Facebook or Twitter. Not making Instagram a part of your marketing campaign is a mistake your business cannot afford to make.

With that in mind, here are a few strategies on how to grow your Instagram following:

Post Daily

Get into a regular flow when posting to Instagram, but don’t inundate your followers with content. A few times a day is probably the ideal number. Quality content combined with consistency will do more to drive up your number of followers than flooding their feeds will.

Share on a regular basis so you can discover what works best for you and your business. Provide creative, engaging content, and you’ll be rewarded with not only more supporters, but followers that are interested in your content.

Promote User Content

A great way to promote user content is to take fantastic content from other creators, and put it on your Instagram account. Be sure to give credit to the original producer of the material, though. Show off the unique and uncommon stories your users have to tell, and when you do, make sure to add hashtags that point back to your business.

Photo Contest

Photo contests are a fun way to share your brand while gathering photos from followers under a theme. Be sure to get involved in the contest yourself while sharing it across multiple platforms. But don’t be in a hurry. Allow users time to hear about the contest and participate.

Make sure the rules are clear and concise, so you avoid confusion with the contest. If you’re unsure of how to proceed, find a business to partner up and double the audience.

Understand Hashtags

Hashtags are an essential part of Instagram, and using the right hashtag can make the difference between a post that falls flat and one that shoots to the top of your followers feeds.

To determine the appropriate hashtags to use, peruse the content of those similar to your own. You can search for and record hashtags that are relevant to your brand, then use them in your content to drive traffic to your business.

Filter Selection

Instagram filters are fun, but also a little confusing. Which ones should you use to drive views and engagement? Pay attention to the responses you receive depending on the filter you use. Some tend to lead to more views, while others may contribute to a higher number of comments. Play around with them and find the ones that work best for your business.

Engage

Really engage with your followers. A list of all the greatest tips and tricks will be helpful, but they’re never going to compete with rolling up your sleeves and getting dirty on the platform. Be intentional about leaving thoughtful, engaging comments, like photos that strike you as meaningful.

Find new people to follow on a regular basis, interact with them, and respond to their questions and comments. Doing so will result in natural and organic growth for your Instagram platform.

Gaining followings on other social media networks can feel like you’re beating your head against a wall, but that doesn’t have to be the case with Instagram. Create engaging, quality content and connect with your followers.

The way you engage with your followers will have a direct impact on how your account increases. If you’re willing to help others, word will spread, and growth will occur. For additional help, you can check out Insta Lead Magic, Take a Look Now.

5 Ways to Find Content to Share on Social Media

In order to succeed with internet marketing, you need to make the most of the social media landscape. This means attracting more followers with the help of shared content.

Curated content, or found content, should comprise the majority of your social media posts. The profiles that only put out promotional posts never gain traction.

At the same time, you should try to post at least once per day, during the weekdays. This means that you need at least 5 posts per week. It can be hard to find enough relevant content to keep up this schedule, especially if you choose to post several times per day.

But, there are ways to find content and simplify this process.social media

#1 Search for Content on Twitter

The first place to look for content is Twitter. Simply scrolling through your Twitter feed and seeing what people have shared recently could give you a few ideas. You might find at least one article that you could share with your followers.

When you do find an article worth sharing, visit the actual article and retweet the initial tweet. Then, share the article with your other social media profiles, such as Facebook or Instagram.

#2 Personalize Your News Feed

The next solution for finding content is to personalize your news feed. Google and other news aggregators make it easy to add categories for specific terms. You can include a category for your niche market.

For example, if you’re involved in internet marketing, you can add an “internet marketing” category in your news feed. The news aggregator should then grab the latest news headlines related to internet marketing each day.

#3 Search a Sub-Reddit for Content

Reddit is a great source of content. There is a subreddit for everything. Find the subreddit related to your niche and scroll through the latest entries.

#4 Check Facebook for Content

Of course, Facebook is also a good place to look for content. It’s the most used social media network, with over a billion users.

Look for unconventional sources of news and content. Don’t rely on the businesses and brands that you follow. There’s a good chance that some of your followers will follow these same accounts. You don’t want to just repeat the same content to the same people.

You can use the search feature on Facebook to browse niche categories. If possible, look for content hosted on a website, instead of an individual Facebook post. Then, visit the link and share the article from the original source.

#5 Use Buzzsumo to Search for Trending Topics

The final solution for finding content is to use Buzzsumo. Test it out for free, but it requires a monthly fee after 14 days. Though, you’ll have quick access to the most shared content related to any topic.

All you need to do is enter a keyword or topic in the search bar. Buzzsumo will present you with a list of search results. They are listed in order of total shares. But, you can adjust the search criteria to fit your needs. You can limit the results to posts within the past day, past month, or longer.

The bottom line is that you need content to share with your followers. You can’t just rely on your own content unless you have the time or money to generate new content on a daily basis. Use these solutions to quickly find content and stick to your social media posting schedule.

Here are some tips from my friend, Michelle Pescosolido that all great Internet Marketers should live by to be successful.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR   Michelle Pescosolido

Michelle & Bill Pescosolido are successful internet marketers who have earned multiple 6 & 7 figure income streams online.  They both are committed to helping entrepreneurs around the world achieve success.  This site and all articles on this site are here to help you as a reader and are also here for our team member’s to share.

Trust is generally low among consumers. In fact, about 32% of consumers have trust for businesses and only about 13% trust advertising. So, if people don’t trust advertisements who do they trust? Their family, friends, and co-workers.

You can take advantage of this trust. By establishing trust with your target demographic and making it a priority, you can dramatically increase referrals and word of mouth advertising.

Why should prioritize customer trust? Because it’s key to repeat business. This is one of the top factors that lead customers to either stay or leave a business.

Make Sure That You’ve Got a Quality Product or Service

Customers want quality. If you’re purchasing a pair of pants and find that they’re uncomfortable, you probably wouldn’t purchase the same brand in the future. This applies to your products or services.

It’s hard to be impartial about the quality of your own products or services. The best way to find out if they’re living up to the expectations of your customers is to get their feedback. When you send a “thank you” email following a purchase, include a link to a simple online survey.

Keep track of the input that you get from customers. When it comes time to revise or update your products or services or release a new item, you can use this feedback to improve the quality. You may even find additional features that your customers want that you wouldn’t have considered.

Don’t Use Misleading Claims in Your Sales Copy

Your sales copy impacts your conversions. But, it also impacts customer trust. Don’t use misleading claims or promises that you can’t deliver in your sales copy. If you expect customers to trust you, you need to be truthful.

Truthful sales copy is beneficial for both you and your customer. By giving honest claims, stats, and figures, you’re setting realistic expectations for your products or services.

Solve Customer Complaints As Soon As Possible

When a customer has a problem with a purchase, you should resolve the issue as soon as possible. This helps you establish a positive relationship with a customer that may otherwise take their business elsewhere and damage your online reputation.

Contact the customer as soon as you discover their complaint. Respond promptly. Use their first name, if possible. Don’t make excuses and don’t try to pass the blame onto the customer. You simply need to fix the problem in any way possible—even if this means giving a refund.

Don’t Bad Mouth Your Competition

If you’re discussing your competition, either directly to a customer or in your sales copy, don’t be disrespectful. Customers are smart. They see trash-talking as a method to make your products look better than the competition.

Instead of focusing on your competition, you should focus on your own qualities. If you can highlight the strengths of your products or services, there’s no reason to bad mouth your competition.

Always Stick to Your Promises

The final suggestion for establishing trust is to always stick to your promises. When you make a guarantee, you need to stand by it. The same is true of any claims that you include in your sales copy, promises that you use in marketing and personal guarantees that give to customers.

When you say that your product or service can deliver a specific result, you need to ensure that you can keep that promise.

Establishing trust with your customers doesn’t need to be difficult. Keep these tips in mind. If you want access to more powerful marketing tips, as well as a way to generate conversion-ready marketing prospects every month, then click here to learn about my done-for-you system.

[Video] Network Marketer VS Internet Marketer

Have you every wondered what is the difference between a Network Marketer vs Internet Marketer? I have been asked this question many times, so I wanted to give some clarity to these terms. There clearly are two different business models used to define each type of marketer. One big difference can be the compensation plans which may vary different.

Internet Marketing

An Internet Marketer’s success is based primarily on YOUR personal productivity, possibly with the help of outsourcing tasks or employing a team if your organization is large enough. Internet Marketing is online marketing (often used in offline settings as well, person to person) using websites, email, advertisements, videos, and blogs and Social media outlets. With the internet exploding today, Imagine being able to reach millions of potential customers in a day!

Each marketer has their own style, personality, passions and marketing strategies. Most have a main goal to help others solve a problem. Internet marketing is a developing field that keeps marketers on their feet and consumers looking for the best deals. Now that we do so much online, it’s very easy for marketers to learn not only what consumers want, but how and when they want it. Most training can be delivered digitally with instant access through the ease of the internet. Training and coaching can easily be delivered through webinars and Skype calls.

Network Marketing

Network Marketers work primarily with one, maybe more, network companies, promoting and selling the companies product line. The marketer may be provided with marketing materials, so guidance on how to sell their products and may be required to follow the marketing strategies defined by the company. The marketer must also possess skill-sets such as prospecting, 3 way calls, home meetings, one-on-one presentations, telephone follow up, closing and many other team building activities. Many of these products are great and solve problems for people, from weight loss, skin care, travel plans and so much more.

As a result of this brief overview, it is my opinion that Branding yourself as an expect in some of these marketing strategies is a sure road to success. By being a Branded authority comes respect and credibility from your followers. You are in control of your own production and profitability. There is so much more involved and can be discussed at another time. The options are limitless. Your hard work provides for you as long as you put into YOUR business what you expect to get out of it.

5 Ways to Establish YOU as an Authority in Your Field

When you’re first starting out, it can be hard to generate any buzz. Your internet marketing efforts may have little impact. One method of generating sales is to become a leader and Authority in your field. Quality Content

If people regularly visit your website to find information and assistance, they’ll be more likely to buy related products or services from your website.

So, if you want to maximize your sales potential, you should establish yourself as an authority in your field. But, this will require work. Here are 5 ways to get started.

Create High-Quality Informative Content

The best way to become considered an authority in your field is to actually be an authority in your field. You’re going need to release high-quality content on a regular basis. This means you need to know what you’re talking about. Quality content is key.

You should know as much as possible about your industry and the products or services that you’re trying to market. If you should constantly be learning and researching the latest news and breakthroughs in your field.

Take your knowledge and start creating informative content. You can adopt a simple system for generating high-quality content and making the best use of the content that you create.

First, you should write detailed blog posts. You can use excerpts of these posts for your social media posts. Once you have enough articles on a similar topic, you can compile them into an eBook for promotional material. You can also film video versions of your blog posts to release on YouTube.

This allows you to stretch the use of your content. Instead of simply writing a blog post, you’re using the same research for multiple forms of content.

Use Your Own Name as Your Brand

In order to be thought of as a trusted authority in your industry, people need to know who you are. This means using your own name as your brand. You can have a name for your internet marketing business, but you should focus your marketing on your individual brand.

When you write blog posts, guest posts, release videos, write eBooks, and distribute other content, you should use your own name, instead of your business name.

Start Writing Guest Blog Posts

Once you get good at writing blog posts for your own site, you should start writing guest posts. When people start recognizing your name across multiple websites, they’ll start seeing you as someone that knows their field.

When you visit popular news sites and blogs related to your industry, you should find out if they accept guest posts. This information will typically be found near the footer, the end of blog posts, or in the about or contact section.

Take Part in Interviews or Podcasts

Any time that you have the opportunity to share your opinion on a topic, you should volunteer. This includes interviews and podcasts. Both are great opportunities for getting your name out there and reaching a larger audience.

These two options may take a while to achieve. Before you can establish a name for yourself, you may not get very many invitations to be interviewed.

Become Active in Online Communities and Forums

A final method for becoming a trusted authority in your field is to become active in online communities and forums. In these forums, people regularly post questions and need help. If you monitor these forums and are quick to respond, you’ll become known for providing solid advice.

Combining these steps will help you become an authority in your industry. It will take hard work and commitment. But, the reward is great. You’ll be able to reach greater success if people turn to you for answers.

Use these suggestions to become a leader in your field. Once you implement these steps, check out a complete system for generating conversion-ready internet marketing leads. Click here to learn more about my done-for-you system.
