So let’s talk recruiting! You have attracted interested prospects and built a relationship with them. Now they feel they know, like and trust you. You have been honest, shared your story and they know you are a real person. By asking them closed ended questions you are ready to introduce your offer. Closed ended questions simply require a Yes or No answer. Some examples may be:

  • Does this opportunity sound like it would help you reach the financial goals you mentioned?
  • Would you agree that this opportunity would allow you to no longer need to chase after friends and family and focus on leads that are interested in joining your business?
  • So do you think generating 8-10 laser targeted leads per day would help grow your business?

Using closed ended questions, of course you are looking for “Yes” answers. But should you hear a “No” that’s fine. Go back to revisit some of the communication you exchanged in establishing your relationship. Reiterate the pain or problem they shared with you. Listening closely is key.

Closing the Recruit

Now you are ready to set up the closing and help your new recruit join your business. Assuming you have received a “Yes” answer to your close ended questions move forward by saying:

“Great! So here’s what we are going to do. I’m going to send you a link for the system trial and together we’ll walk through the set up to get you up and running right away so you can start generating leads and making more money!”

Literally walk them through the set up rather than just sending them the link. This is a fool proof way to know they follow through, see the screens and understand the process. BOOM, you got a new customer.

Lead generation is a vitally important part of a digital marketing strategy. If you don’t have leads, people don’t get your emails. Emails generate sales, foster public relations, and give you a place to talk to your customer. Having leads for those emails is a must.

A conversation with a thought leader about how they became successful is a compelling and valuable piece of content. When you share this content, lead lock it. People who really want to see the content will be more than happy to give you their email in exchange for advice from a thought leader.

For the best payoff from help videos, create an education center page on your website with a few videos. Have people provide their email address to sign-up and use the free education center. This gives you valuable leads that can turn into new customers.

Embrace the quiz trend

 Quizzes are big right now. They are all over social media and have started to creep into display ads and email inboxes. Use the quiz trend to your advantage.

Quizzes, especially when they are created well, are a great lead generation driver. People love learning what kind of flower they are or which celebrity they act like the most. Usually, the more outlandish the quiz, the better.

Quizzes are also great to push out on social media for some new engagement and boosted traffic and likes on your company’s page. Use the power of the quiz for all it’s worth and it will deliver a host of great results.

Give insight into what’s working for you

 Have something you are doing that is working really well for you? Talk about it! Host a webinar about it or write a blog or whitepaper. People want to know what works for others and they are more than willing to exchange their email for that information.

Be an information provider and people will start to look to you as an authority. Consider using the pieces as a lead generation ad on Facebook and test the response.

Host a giveaway

 Giveaways are one of the easiest and frankly the best ways to gather leads. When you create a great giveaway, people will happily give you their email address for a chance to win.

Giveaways do require some careful consideration when you are using them for lead generation though. You have to be prepared that some people who enter the giveaway may have little to no interest in your company and won’t be good leads.

That being said, giveaways are still a great lead generation tool and can give you a ton of leads in a short amount of time. This is especially true if you use social media to promote the giveaway.

How to Improve Your Email Marketing

Email marketing has become more and more challenging over the last few years. With people signing up for multiple email accounts, Gmail changing where your messages go, and more people deleting your emails than opening them, running a successful email marketing campaign requires a lot of work. ermail marketing

There are a few ways that you can take your email marketing to the next level. This can help you send better emails to the right people at the right time. Once you strategize and streamline your email marketing, you will see a measured improvement in how your email marketing performs.

Here are a few ways that you can improve your email marketing this year.

Send emails only to the people who want them

 A lot of the reason that your email marketing may be looking like it is failing is because you are probably sending your emails to people who don’t want them. People who get your emails, but don’t want them usually end up deleting them without opening them or marking them as spam. These are not the people you want on your email lists.

Whenever you continue to send emails to people who don’t want them, your domain reputation is hurt. This can leave you scrambling to clean up your domain reputation for months.

Avoid this by scrubbing your email lists once a month. Take out all of the people who haven’t opened an email from you or haven’t engaged with one of your emails and send them one reactivation campaign. Getting them out of the general email list helps keep your domain reputation healthy and your email marketing profitable.

If the subscribers still don’t open or engage with your emails after the reactivation campaign, take them off the list. This leaves a lot less clutter for you to clean up later.

Give each email a goal

 If you are not sending each and every email with a goal, stop sending them. You have to have a clear goal laid out for each email before you send them. You want to cue your email recipients with the action they should take with each email.

Make sure that there are multiple ways for your email recipients to achieve the goal of your email. Add buttons with links, photos, video, and good subject lines. You want the point of the email to be clear right when they open the email.

Sending an email just to send an email isn’t going to help you or your customer. It wastes everyone’s time and makes your customers less likely to engage when you really want them to. Give each email a goal and you won’t have this problem.

Personalize the emails

 Email personalization really works. When you stick with the basics like the subscriber’s name or company, they are more likely to engage with the email.

Email personalization is relatively simple now with email marketing platforms. Above all, do not send a “dear customer” or “dear client” email. It won’t get read and you will have wasted your time.

Test sending your emails on different days

 There is a ton of data out there that says that sending your email on Tuesdays or Thursdays are the best days. While that may have been true at one point, it’s not the case anymore.

In order to send emails that people will engage with, you have to test sending your emails on different days. Find out what works for you and your company. What matters isn’t when the most people are sending emails; what matters is when most people are engaging with your emails.

Test sending on different days and at different times. This will help you develop the most optimal plan and get your email engagement rates up.
