Have you every wondered what is the difference between a Network Marketer vs Internet Marketer? I have been asked this question many times, so I wanted to give some clarity to these terms. There clearly are two different business models used to define each type of marketer. One big difference can be the compensation plans which may vary different.
An Internet Marketer’s success is based primarily on YOUR personal productivity, possibly with the help of outsourcing tasks or employing a team if your organization is large enough. Internet Marketing is online marketing (often used in offline settings as well, person to person) using websites, email, advertisements, videos, and blogs and Social media outlets. With the internet exploding today, Imagine being able to reach millions of potential customers in a day!
Each marketer has their own style, personality, passions and marketing strategies. Most have a main goal to help others solve a problem. Internet marketing is a developing field that keeps marketers on their feet and consumers looking for the best deals. Now that we do so much online, it’s very easy for marketers to learn not only what consumers want, but how and when they want it. Most training can be delivered digitally with instant access through the ease of the internet. Training and coaching can easily be delivered through webinars and Skype calls.
Network Marketers work primarily with one, maybe more, network companies, promoting and selling the companies product line. The marketer may be provided with marketing materials, so guidance on how to sell their products and may be required to follow the marketing strategies defined by the company. The marketer must also possess skill-sets such as prospecting, 3 way calls, home meetings, one-on-one presentations, telephone follow up, closing and many other team building activities. Many of these products are great and solve problems for people, from weight loss, skin care, travel plans and so much more.
As a result of this brief overview, it is my opinion that Branding yourself as an expect in some of these marketing strategies is a sure road to success. By being a Branded authority comes respect and credibility from your followers. You are in control of your own production and profitability. There is so much more involved and can be discussed at another time. The options are limitless. Your hard work provides for you as long as you put into YOUR business what you expect to get out of it.
